- Keep your cells a fixed height to aid power/ground routing.
- Keep poly as SHORT as possible. Keep poly SIMPLE (i.e. no bends).
- Use extra contacts/vias if there is space.
- Add ntap/ptap cells to most cells (we seem to need it for LVS to work...).
- M1 is "mostly" horizontal, M2 vertical, M3 horizontal, etc.
- Minimize all metal, diffusion, poly area as this just adds extra capacitance.
